ขอบเขตของสัญญาอนุญาต

ทำไมคำแปลไทยถึงมีไม่ครบทุกคำ

วิกิพจนานุกรมภาษาไทยมีความหมายภาษาไทยสำหรับคำจีนราว 2,300 คำ คิดเป็นประมาณ 4% ของรายการคำศัพท์ HSK ทั้งหมด ตอนนี้ยังไม่มีพจนานุกรมจีน-ไทยแบบเปิดที่ครอบคลุมกว่านี้ และการแต่งคำแปลขึ้นเองในเครื่องมือช่วยเรียนภาษาก็แย่กว่าการเว้นไว้ เราจึงแสดงคำแปลไทยเมื่อมีข้อมูลจริง และแสดงภาษาอังกฤษแทนเมื่อไม่มี

The meanings, pinyin, and HSK levels BaoSub shows you come from the three open projects below. All three are published under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, so the data files we generate from them are a derivative work distributed under that same licence.

What the licence covers

CC BY-SA 4.0 covers the bundled dictionary data only. It does not extend to BaoSub's own source code, which is a separate work that merely reads these files at runtime.

Why Thai coverage is thin

Thai Wiktionary defines roughly 2,300 Chinese headwords — about 4% of the HSK list. There is no openly licensed Chinese-to-Thai dictionary at real scale, and inventing translations for a learning tool would be worse than leaving a gap. So BaoSub shows Thai when a real Thai gloss exists, and English when it does not.
